Yoda Returns.

 We were thrilled a few weeks ago to get in the new colours of Cascade's Luna Cotton Paints. It gave us the perfect excuse to make another version of our favourite baby jacket.
Whenever we get a new cotton in a worsted/aran weight, the first thing that we think of is making a Baby Yoda Jacket. It's just one of those patterns that catches the eye as being as cute as can be yet somehow very cool in its casual design, and sweetly nerdy in its reference to the tiny but great Yoda of Star Wars fame.
And for you fans of the sadly missed MISSION FALLS 1824 Cotton, did you know that Cascade's LUNA is about as close as you can possibly get to the rich hand and lightly textured finish that we enjoyed so much in our Mission Falls favourite.

Just in! Our newest luxury sock yarn, and the only one that we carry in the thick and cozy worsted weight. SOFTSHELL TURTLE TOES from Turtlepurl Yarns is luscious beyond belief. 80% superwash merino wool, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon, all washed in the most glorious colours you can imagine. I've just started working with it on a special pair of socks and am going to bed later than planned, just because I don't want to put it down.

Gardens and Starlight with 2 new yarns.

This is my sample of the newest style of Frill Yarn brought out for the spring fashion scene: COVENT GARDEN from Estelle. Available in 5 colourways, this lovely fabric is cut in scallops and knit through the holes at the top of the tape. Very simple to create, and lovely to wear.

 

This is Cascade Yarns' new cotton blend DK that is so understated, I love it. SUNSEEKER is a  high quality cotton, acrylic mix with just a touch of glitter which gives it an even lighter look. We're so glad to have it in stock before next week's Sweetheart Sale. DON'T MISS OUT.
